Lipp wins E. Bayard Halsted Scholarship

May 24, 2011

Mechanical engineering graduate student Genevieve Lipp has won the E. Bayard Halsted Scholarship from the Duke Graduate School. This is a highly competitive scholarship—only one or two are awarded each year—and is reserved Duke undergraduate alumni who are now pursuing graduate studies at Duke. Genevieve, who graduated in 2010, was a Pratt Fellow and worked on harvesting energy from ocean waves with Associate Professor Brian Mann. She is now working towards her doctorate. The Halsted Scholarship provides an annual stipend, tuition and mandatory fees.
